We continue with the halloween sweets and now it's the turn of the halloween pumpkin cookies, some nice shortbread biscuits with the aroma and the shape of a pumpkin which I then covered with an orange colored sugar glaze. How to make halloween cookies
Steam a piece of pumpkin.
In a bowl, mix the flour with the cold butter cut into small pieces and the sugar.
Add the pumpkin pulp reduced to puree or puree, an egg, baking powder and cinnamon
Knead the dough quickly until you get a ball, then cover the dough with plastic wrap and leave to rest in the fridge for an hour.
Roll out the pastry on a floured surface and with a pumpkin-shaped pastry cutter, make your biscuits.
Place the halloween cookies on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and bake at 180 °
Bake the cookies for about ten minutes, Remove from the oven and let them cool.
Meanwhile, prepare the icing by mixing the icing sugar with the water. Divide into two parts, add the orange dye in one and the green dye in another
With the icing obtained, using a brush or the back of a teaspoon, cover the biscuits
Allow the icing to dry before lifting the Halloween cookies from the pan and serving
