Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: 'Our Wedding Was Magical'

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: 'Our Wedding Was Magical'

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you may have missed the memo that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have finally tied the knot after five years of dating and a 10-month engagement.

Timberlake described the wedding as "magical" and "an unforgettable evening" and Biel said it was a "fantasy" to People magazine, and we don't doubt that it really was. While the menu has yet to be released, we do know that their pre-wedding bash was filled with wine and a lush Italian spread of olives, cheeses, and salume.

So here’s what we know — so far! — about how it all went down this weekend:

• There was a guest list of about 80 people, including funnymen Jimmy Fallon and Andy Samberg, rapper Timbaland, a few of Timberlake's former NSYNC band members, and one or two of Biel’s former 7th Heaven cast mates, who watched the couple marry on Friday evening at the Borgo Egnazia Resort in Fasano, Italy.

• The couple chose the destination due to their love of Italian food, culture, and wine.

• The groom wore custom Tom Ford while the bride wore a pink — yes, pink! — gown created by Italian designer Giambattista Valli.

• Three massive tents were set up on the grounds, while white floral arrangements were scattered around the entire complex, from the balconies to the tables, and were even thrown at the happy couple as they exited their ceremony.

• Famed DJ Questlove spun the tunes at the reception and guests were treated to a very rare occurrence — Timberlake supposedly took the stage to sing an unreleased song to his gorgeous bride.

As the details flow in, we’ll keep you updated on the most recent news regarding Timberlake and Biel’s big day!

What do you think so far? Fireworks, famous faces, and a tented affair — not too bad, right?

Inside Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake's Intense, Eventful Year

It wasn't the greatest start to their eighth year of marriage.

About a month after celebrating his seventh wedding anniversary with Jessica Biel in October 2019, Justin Timberlake's thinking cap fell off. The multitalented entertainer was photographed at a bar in New Orleans holding hands under the table with Alisha Wainwright, one of his co-stars in the drama Palmer, which they were filming at the time.

Because two decades as a global superstar hadn't quite rammed the message home that practically anywhere he goes, someone has a camera, Timberlake found himself the subject of some very salacious speculation of what was going on that night.

Speculation that his wife back home couldn't help but be privy to as well.

"They were out with all the cast, crew, makeup artists, and everyone was just hanging out in a social setting," a source quickly assured E! News with regard to Timberlake and Wainwright's outing. "They are just working together. No validity to any other rumor other than that they are filming together."

A second source reiterated that it was an entirely "innocent" hangout.

But as people know, a picture is worth a thousand words—and that's before the Internet multiplies those words by infinity. And JT had been down this bumpy road before.

Knowing that, regardless of his intention, the image that went public was "definitely inappropriate and something that would make any wife uncomfortable," a source explained, damage control was required.

So Timberlake apologized, noting that he wanted to put an end to the "gossip" and "rumors," but also acknowledging his "strong lapse in judgment."

He continued, "I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that."

But to be clear, he emphasized, nothing untoward was going on behind the scenes with him and Wainwright.

An insider explained to E! News that Timberlake really felt terrible about putting Biel through the scrutiny—of her, of the state of their marriage—that tends to accompany this sort of scandal, however much of a nothing-burger it turned out to be.

And he went the public-apology route so they could "put this behind them and start to move on," the source said. "Justin feels like the story isn't dying and hopes this will be the end of it. He always tries to keep his private life private, but he knows he made a big mistake in public and now has to own up to it."

The couple had already made a concerted effort to shrug it off, but assuring the world that he knew he had messed up did help matters.

"Their marriage will survive," another source said at the time, adding that Timberlake "knows how lucky he is."

And it was time to get busy showing it.

At least the holidays were at hand, and Thanksgiving and Christmas are usually automatic mood-boosters, as well as a good time for togetherness along with those tidings of comfort and joy.

Aside from posts related to work, including the launch of her capsule collection with fitness brand Gaiam, Biel took a break from posting anything personal on Instagram until 2020. The same went for Timberlake post-apology, the Man of the Woods artist just sharing a sunset and a studio pic.

The time away—from L.A., from Instagram, from headlines—was all about regrouping and focusing on what mattered. Of course Timberlake was on hand to support his executive producer spouse at the third season premiere of The Sinner last February, the show that earned Biel her first Emmy nomination in 2018, and he sang her praises on her birthday.

"Happy Birthday to the LOVE of my life. A new adventure every day and a treasure to me," he wrote on March 3. "I can't wait to share many more of these with you. Thanks for putting up with me when I smell funky after a round of golf or, when I smell funky in general. You are the mostest of the mostest, my love! I adore you."

Ahead of the pandemic declaration, they presciently celebrated her 38th trip around the sun with cake at home, the birthday girl sitting pretty in her pajamas.

For Mother's Day, Timberlake shared a photo of them walking with son Silas (from the back, having kept to the plan of not sharing his face intentionally with millions of strangers), writing, "You continue to keep me in complete awe every day. This family works because of your love and soulfulness. You are a dream to share all of this with. Your boys love you!!"

Meanwhile, nothing brings two people closer together than a shared secret.

Because now, not only did Biel and Timberlake celebrate their eighth anniversary Oct. 19, as devoted to each other as ever, they also welcomed their second son—a fact they have only just publicly acknowledged (though they did share the good news in the moment with their nearest and dearest).

Oh, it was all snowy getaways, casual video chats with Ellen DeGeneres and quarantine remixes with Jimmy Fallon as stay-at-home advisories took hold and talk show appearances went virtual starting in March. But all the while Timberlake and Biel were keeping a heck of a secret—one that was much easier to keep once it became totally normal to only spend time with your family.

And most people were way too busy figuring out how to work from home and Zoom-school their kids to notice that they hadn't seen Biel's stomach on Instagram for awhile.

That's right, though the world had descended into chaos, Timberlake and Biel had left personal turmoil in the dust and were preparing for the arrival of their second child from the relative remoteness of their spread in Montana.

"We're doing good, we're doing good," Timberlake said nonchalantly in an April interview with SiriusXM Hits 1 while promoting Trolls: World Tour. He cracked, "We're mostly commiserating over the fact that just 24-hour parenting is just not human."

In all seriousness, though, the artist said, "We feel very lucky and kind of blessed. They're pretty socially distant here anyway, where our place is and so, I mean just being able to kind of walk out into your driveway and maybe go for a little hike is always nice."

Silas reportedly became a big brother in July, Mom pulling off a stealth pregnancy and Dad managing not to spill the beans to anyone outside the circle of trust during a virtual press tour.

Adorably, the other members of 'N Sync remain inside that circle, Lance Bass revealing in September that Timberlake showed them photos of his new addition during a group chat with his former boy-band mates.

"The baby is cute, of course, it's Justin and Jessica!" Bass told Entertainment Tonight. But he would not be divulging the name, obviously, because "Justin would kill me."

But it's only fitting that DeGeneres would get the eventual scoop on the lad's name, a preview of an upcoming Timberlake appearance on her show including the singer saying, "His name is Phineas, and he's awesome and so cute, and nobody's sleeping—but we're thrilled. We're thrilled and couldn't be happier. Very grateful."

He and Biel "don't see each other anymore," he quipped, a nod to the business of going from raising one growing boy to two, but they're tackling it like a team. "Sort of like, 'You go get that one, I'll get this one!'"

And Silas, too, was adjusting pretty well so far, Timberlake added. "Right now, he's very much liking it. Phin can't walk yet or chase him down, so I don't know. We'll see what happens."

And so Timberlake and Biel have another year of matrimony, learning and loving, forgiving and forgetting, procreating and parenting, in the books.

"We have similar values we believe in loyalty, honesty. We like to have fun," Biel told Marie Claire about her connection with the Social Network star in 2017. "We like a lot of the same things. Also, in the business, we're all very career-oriented, and you have to be a little selfish. I understand that about my peers—about being focused and driven—and if you can find that and someone who shares the same values as you, it's like: Score!"

As for Timberlake, about a week before their 2012 wedding in Italy, he told members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, "We have a couple of rules in our relationship. The first rule is that I make her feel like she's getting everything.

"The second rule is that I actually do let her have her way in everything. And, so far, it's working."

Justin Timberlake Wedding Video Mocks Homeless People From LA (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Oct. 26 -- Justin Timberlake apologized for the video Friday, made by a friend, in which homeless Los Angeles denizens appear wishing Timberlake and his bride, Jessica Biel, congratulations on their wedding. In a letter posted on his website, he also refuted the rumor that the video had been shown at the wedding itself.

Previously reported

Advocates for the homeless and fans of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are disturbed by a video that was screened at their recent wedding because it appears to mock the homeless.

The film, created by Los Angeles real estate agent (and Timberlake's friend) Justin Huchel, used homeless people from LA to make fun of the newlyweds' lavish ceremony. While Timberlake and Biel's extravagance was probably Huchel's original target, the video transforms LA's homeless into sad, living punchlines. One toothless man says, "Justin, Jessica. I haven't seen you all in a long time, my gift is in the mail."

In another part of the video, a voice off camera suggests that a man go shirtless to deliver his congratulations: "Justin? Jessica? It's me, Robert."

Gawker broke the video Wednesday morning, publishing part of the eight-minute film along with a sternly-worded email from Huchel's lawyer, who threatened a lawsuit if any portion of the film was published. Given Gawker's penchant for publishing privileged communication, however, the letter only serves to provide more context for the sick gag.

"Mr. Huchel made a video to be used and exhibited privately at Justin Timberlake's wedding as a private joke without Mr. Timberlake's knowledge," attorney Michael J. Saltz writes. "Mr. Huchel especially has not authorized you or Gawker Media to use or exploit any portion of his copyrighted video."

Saltz's letter claims Timberlake had no way of knowing about the video's contents before it was screened, and some on Twitter made the distinction between actions of the happy couple and their friends.

DISGUSTING - It seems Justin Timberlake friends video taped homeless people wishing the couple "congrats" and aired it at the wedding.

While VH1 sarcastically pointed out:

Yeah, we're sure Jessica Biel was THRILLED about that "hilarious" homeless people video at her wedding

&mdash VH1 (@VH1) October 24, 2012

But to some, the video does reflect badly on the company the couple keeps. "Good to know the ultra-rich of Hollywood don't mind making fun of the homeless," remarked Twitter user Duste Allen. A former Timberlake fan tweeted:

It's official I am no longer a @jtimberlake fan!! Unfollowing you right now! Mocking the homeless is wrong! #Pissed

&mdash Stephanie (@StephBreezy678) October 25, 2012

The video also provided a stark contrast to People magazine's teaser photo of their upcoming Timberlake-Biel wedding cover, released today.

"It was magical. It was an unforgettable evening," said Timberlake to People about his wedding, estimated to cost about $6.5 million. Don't expect to read about this video in the article.

UPDATE Oct. 25: TMZ tracked down "Eddie," one of the men who appeared in the wedding video. Eddie confirmed to TMZ that he was paid $40 to recite a few lines for the camera, but he had no idea that the video was intended for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's wedding.

"That makes me feel really bad," said Eddie to TMZ. "I feel they played on me."

Inside Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake's family home at private ski resort

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake's house in Montana offers lots of entertainment for their two young sons, Silas, five, and baby Phineas, nine months.

The couple own homes in New York and Los Angeles, but they reportedly wanted to have a base away from the city to raise their family &ndash and it is where they have spent much of the past year.

Jessica and Justin bought the property in 2015 as part of the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, a private ski and golf resort that sits on 13,600 acres of land. It offers residents 2,900 acres of ski trails and an 18-hole mountain golf course, so there is plenty of outdoor activities for the stars to enjoy with their kids!

They are reportedly paying $30,000 a year for the home as per Forbes, after paying a $300,000 membership joining fee for the club.

Naturally, the pair tend to keep their lives as private as possible, but they have shared a handful of photos during the pandemic that reveal glimpses inside the home.

During a virtual appearance on the Ellen show, Jessica sat in what we assume is the living room of her Montana home. It features a square cream sofa in front of wooden panelled walls, while a metallic lamp was displayed on a table next to her.

Justin was pictured in the home's dining room

Justin posed in what appears to be the dining room of the home. It is decorated with sky-blue walls and wooden floors, and there are large sash windows, beneath which Justin and Jessica have positioned a wicker basket.

Jessica shared a selfie from inside the home

Jessica shared a black and white photograph from another room with similar shutter doors for a cupboard, and a metal sofa-style bed.

Yellowstone Club, meanwhile, has previously posted professional photographs that give us an example of what homes at the resort look like.

Justin Timberlake Issues Public Apology To Jessica Biel and Family

Justin Timberlake has remained silent since photos of himself and co-star Alisha Wainwright holding hands made their way online two weeks ago. The singer and actor was in New Orleans filming a movie when the footage was captured, which also showed him sans wedding ring despite being married to Jessica Biel since 2012. Now, the singer is wanting to set the record straight once and for all.

Following the reports, multiple sources spoke out to deny anything was going on between Justin and Alisha, saying they were out with all of the cast and crew and that the touching was innocent.

"They are downplaying everything and trying to laugh it off as nothing," a source told E! News. "But it was definitely inappropriate and something that would make any wife uncomfortable," they continued.

"He had too much to drink and got carried away."

Now, Justin has taken to Instagram to directly respond to the rumours - issuing a public apology to his wife, Jessica Biel, and his family. "I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumours that are hurting the people that I love," he began.

"A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement - but let me be clear - nothing happened between me and my costar," he continued. "I drank way too much that night and I regret my behaviour. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that."

He finished, "I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it."

Justin Timberlake and his longtime love Jessica Biel tied the knot on Friday, Oct. 19, during a private ceremony and reception at Borgo Egnazia resort in Puglia, Italy -- and the couple cannot stop gushing about their perfect day.

"It was magical," Timberlake, 31, tells People, which will share photos from the pair's wedding day in its new issue. "It was an unforgettable evening."

"It was a fantasy," Biel, 30, added.

Surrounded by family and close friends, including Jimmy Fallon, Timbaland, Andy Samberg, N*SYNC's Chris Kirkpatrick and Biel's "7th Heaven" co-star Beverley Mitchell, Timberlake and Biel celebrated their nuptials, which took place after some pre-wedding events.

"It's great to be married," the newlyweds said in a statement on Friday. "The ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends."

On Oct. 18, the bride and groom hosted a party for guests who dined on cheese, local olives and wine as they relaxed around some open fires. The prior evening, the wedding party celebrated at a beach, where they watched fireworks and listened to live music.

Justin Timberlake's Sweet Wedding Anniversary Love Letter to Jessica Biel: 'You've Taught Me What True Love Means'

Instead of celebrating the five-year milestone in the traditional way, with gifts of wood, the singer, 36, wrote a sweet love letter to his wife on social media Thursday.

“Today is even more special for me because five years ago, on this day, I became the luckiest man in the world when I exchanged vows with my best friend,” Timberlake captioned the throwback video of himself singing Leon Russell’s 1970 classic, 𠇊 Song for You,” which the actor recalled “was our first dance.”

“To my beautiful Jess: You have taught me so much about what a true love means. I can’t put into words what these last five years have meant to me, so… ‘Listen to the melody use my love is in there hiding,’ ” he concluded, along with the hashtag #Happy5thAnniversaryWifey. On Instagram, he ended his post with an adorable shot of himself sharing a smooch with Biel.

“My tender heart is yours, now until forever,” Biel, 35, replied.

Justin Timberlake gives surprise performance at couple's wedding

Justin Timberlake made one couple's wedding extra special at the weekend when he surprised them with a sweet serenade at their reception. Justin and his wife Jessica Biel were in Norwalk, Connecticut on Saturday to see one of Jessica's closest friends Dana Panzer tie the knot with her longterm girlfriend Amy Wicker.

Although the nuptials had been planned in advance, the wedding coincided perfectly with the Supreme Court's decision on same-sex marriage, making the celebrations all the sweeter.

Justin Timberlake serenades the brides and guests at the wedding with hit song Señorita

Both Justin and Jessica &ndash who attended without their two-month-old son Silas &ndash were in high spirits at the bash. Jessica, who was roommates at Tufts University with Dana, danced the night away, according to eye witnesses. "She looked amazing," one told Us Weekly. "You would never know she just had a baby because she is so slim and trim."

Her husband, meanwhile, presented the newlyweds with a very special wedding gift, taking to the stage to sing his hit single Señorita.

Sat behind a keyboard, he told the excited crowd: "Imma start something, and all the fellas gonna look at the ladies, who just got married tonight. And all the ladies gonna look at the ladies, you know what I'm saying," before starting his performance as the brides and their guests danced and sang along. He later went on to sing a number of other hits, including Papa's Got A Brand New Bag.

"Then Justin decided he wanted to put on a little concert for the two brides and he jumped on stage. It was awesome and so special for the brides and all the guests who were so impressed!"

Justin Timberlake On Jessica Biel Wedding: "It Was Magical"

The 'SexyBack' singer talks for the first time about his marriage to the actress, which took place in Italy last week.

Justin Timberlake has described his wedding to Jessica Biel as "magical".

The pair, who have been dating on and off for five years, married in southern Italy last week.

The couple were joined by family and friends, who were flown to Europe by private jet for a week of celebrations at the Borgo Egnazia resort in Puglia.

"It was magical," Justin told People. "It was an unforgettable evening," while Jessica simply said: "It was a fantasy."

Justin and Jessica are said to have chosen Italy because of their love for the country's food and wine.

In a joint statement issued last week, they said: "It's great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends."

Justin shot to fame in N*Sync, before going solo. It is ten years since he released his debut solo album 'Justified', which features the hits 'Like I Love You' and 'Cry Me A River'.

He has since followed in his wife's footsteps by launching an acting career, appearing in films including The Social Network and In Time.
