INGREDIENT:

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1.Prepare the dough: pour boiling water and oil into a saucepan. Put them on the fire and bring them to the boil.

2. Sift the flour into a deep bowl. Make a hole in the middle of it, then add salt and water with the oil in it.

3.Initially mix the dough with the spoon. After it cools down a bit, knead it with your hands.

4.Put the dough aside and prepare the filling: pass the cheese and ham through the large grater.

5. Roll out the dough into a stick, then cut it into equal pieces. We obtained 15 pieces weighing about 40 g. Shape them into balls.

6. Spread each piece of dough in the shape of a thin pancake, the size of a saucer. Bend its side edges. Place a tablespoon of ham and a little cheese on one of the bent edges.

7. Roll the cake into a roll.

8. Proceed similarly to the other dough balls.

9. Place the rolls on an oiled pan, leaving gaps between them. Grease them with the beaten egg yolk with a tablespoon of milk. Sprinkle them with sesame seeds.

10.Insert the tray in the preheated oven to 200 ° C and bake the rolls for 30 minutes, until golden.

The recipe is inspired by here and I participate with it in the contest organized by Cheerful Chefs.

500 gr flour
25 gr yeast
250 ml of milk
50 ml oil
1 or
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar

200 gr pressed ham
100 gr cheese
100 gr mushrooms
1 bell pepper
tomato sauce

Rub the yeast with the sugar then add a little warm milk and a little flour. Stir until you get a mayo. We leaven it until it doubles in volume.


In a bowl put sifted flour then add mayonnaise, beaten egg with salt, and warm milk. Knead, adding a little oil from time to time so that it doesn't stick to your hand.

Leave to rise until it doubles in volume.


Pour the dough on a well-floured worktop, knead until the consistency of the plasticine, divide it in two and spread two sheets. Grease the surface with tomato sauce.


Sprinkle with pressed ham, peppers and diced mushrooms and grate cheese on top.


Gather the edges so that the filling stays inside, squeeze in the middle and place them in a tray lined with baking paper with the side where we squeezed the dough down.

We cut the edges with a very sharp knife so that a portion in the shape of a circle remains in the middle.

We twist each petal with the filling upwards, obtaining the shape of a rosette. Then grease with beaten egg yolk.

Bake until nicely browned.


Rolls with ham and cheese
